Volleyball Recap: Rusk Comes Up Short

Rusk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Lufkin Panthers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2019.

Rusk's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lufkin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Rusk didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Huntington on the 21st. As for Lufkin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Orangefield on the 21st.
