The North Posey Vikings will square off against the Evansville Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. North Posey is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

North Posey took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Southridge by a score of 4-1.

The team relied heavily on Jed Galvin, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Lane Young also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Evansville Christian might've scored the first runs on Saturday, but it was Princeton who claimed the real prize. The Eagles took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Eagles have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

North Posey pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Evansville Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything went North Posey's way against Evansville Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as North Posey made off with a 16-0 victory. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
