Football Recap: Charlton County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Charlton County had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-5 to make it four. They received a blow as they fell 39-21 to the Brooks County Trojans. The Indians lost against the Trojans in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-8 score last time.

Despite the loss, Charlton County still got an impressive performance from Omari Wilson, who rushed for 160 yards and one touchdown while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Wilson has become a key player for the Indians: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 2-4 otherwise.

As for Brooks County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.0 points over those games.

It was another big night for Damari Baynard, who rushed for 195 yards and three scores while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Those 195 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Trae Stevenson did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 83 receiving yards.
