Volleyball Recap: Raton's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Raton waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Questa Wildcats. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Raton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10, 16-25, 25-19.

Raton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison Medina out in front who hit 100% for six kills and 28 digs and six aces. Medina is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 39 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Leticia Marquez, who had 14 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Raton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 16 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Questa still got an impressive performance from Jocelyne Ortega, who had 22 digs.

Raton's record is now 10-3. As for Questa, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-3.

Raton and Questa will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Tigers will face off against rival Pecos at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Questa is set to challenge their familiar foe Escalante at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
