Softball Game Preview: Rossford Bulldogs vs. St. Ursula Academy Arrows

The Rossford Bulldogs will challenge the St. Ursula Academy Arrows at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Rossford lost 16-4 to Genoa Area on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, St. Ursula Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 21-7 to Lutheran North, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Sydney Schlachter stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Hoffman, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Rossford's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for St. Ursula Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Rossford came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Ursula Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 17-15. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Arrows turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
