Math & Science College Preparatory lost to New West Charter back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks had just enough and edged the New West Charter Eagles out 1-0. Give the Sharks' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Luis Quezada, who's now up to eight this season.

Math & Science College Preparatory pushed their record up to 9-6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for New West Charter, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 10-4-2.

Coming up, Math & Science College Preparatory will welcome Larchmont Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for New West Charter, they will head out to face off against Animo South Los Angeles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
