Recap: Moriarty Pintos vs. Estancia Bears
After losing to the Estancia Bears the last time they met, the Moriarty Pintos decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Moriarty enjoyed a cozy 70-54 victory over Estancia on Friday.
Jordan Brown was his usual excellent self, scoring 32 points along with five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Moriarty's points. Another player making a difference was Evan Pacheco, who scored ten points along with three steals.
The win got Moriarty back to even at 3-3. As for Estancia, they bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season.
Moriarty will face off against Albuquerque Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Albuquerque Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Moriarty likes a good challenge. Estancia won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Mountain at 11:00 a.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (East Mountain is ranked 106th, while Estancia is ranked 110th).
