Soccer Recap: Turpin Extends Winning Streak to Three

While Turpin's win against Madeira wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans skirted past the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS 3-2. The victory was all the more spectacular given Turpin's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Madeira are ranked 29th).

Mitchell Iles and Caden Bliss scored all three of Turpin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

The win was the third in a row for Turpin, bringing their record up to 7-1-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those three contests. As for Madeira, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turpin will face off against Little Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madeira, they will challenge Wyoming at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
