Southeastern came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 29-28 W against the Oakman Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Oakman lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tyler Thomas, who rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 62 yards and one TD. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 127 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Hampton Hall, who picked up 102 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Southeastern's record is now 8-2. As for Oakman, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Southeastern will challenge Sulligent at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. Oakman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
