Basketball Recap: Tippecanoe Valley Starts Season with Loss at Home

Tippecanoe Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the DeKalb Barons on Wednesday, falling 67-43.

Tippecanoe Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was William Mellott, who posted eight points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Hunter Stage, who had seven points.

Looking ahead, Tippecanoe Valley will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against NorthWood at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for DeKalb, they will face off against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
