Baseball Recap: Herron Takes a Loss

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Herron was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 11-1 to the Indianapolis Scecina Memorial Crusaders. The loss continues a trend for the Achaeans in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost five in a row.

Colvin Meek was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples and one run.

Herron's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Herron will face off against Indiana School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Indianapolis Scecina Memorial, they will square off against Purdue Poly Englewood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
