Preview: Rushville Lions vs. Seymour Owls
The Rushville Lions will be home for the holidays to greet the Seymour Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Saturday, Rushville came up short against Lawrenceburg and fell 40-27. Rushville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Rushville saw an underclassman step up: Carly Senour scored 12 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Buzzard, who scored three points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Seymour also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Floyd Central by a score of 50-38.
Rushville now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Seymour, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
