Football Recap: Priory Takes a Loss

Priory extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were dealt a 41-6 defeat at the hands of the Burroughs Bombers. The Ravens were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-0.

As for Burroughs, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. They haven't had any issues with Priory recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Burroughs was led to victory by Jack Donnelly and Shannon Seals. Donnelly threw for 102 yards and two TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, while Seals rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Those 55 rushing yards gave Seals a new career-high.

Priory has already played their next matchup, a 42-27 victory against Veritas Christian Academy on the 11th. As for Burroughs, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 win against Westminster Christian on the 11th.
