Basketball Game Preview: Impact Christian Academy Lions vs. Sagemont Prep

Impact Christian Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Eagle's View 80-46. The win was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won five games in a row.

Impact Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Chris Jackson, who posted 19 points. That's the most points Jackson has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mechack Olungu, who had 14 points.

Meanwhile, Sagemont entered their tilt with Atlantic Christian on Thursday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 74-30 victory over the Sharks. Given the Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Sharks are ranked 115th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Impact Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Sagemont, their victory bumped their record up to 20-8.

Things could have been worse for Impact Christian Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-45 loss to Sagemont in their previous matchup back in February of 2024.
