Soccer Game Preview: Marist vs. Harrison

The Marist War Eagles will face off against the Harrison Hoyas at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Marist is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Cross Keys as they made off with a 5-1 win. The match was close at halftime, but Marist turned on the heat in the second half with four goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Harrison made sure to put some goals up on the board against West Forsyth on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 6-1 victory. With Harrison ahead 3-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting West Forsyth from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Jonas Heiler led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
