Softball Recap: West Noble Chargers vs. Garrett Railroaders
West Noble was the 9-3 winner over Garrett when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The West Noble Chargers fell 5-2 to the Garrett Railroaders on Saturday. West Noble has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Emily Thompson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and a double.
On Garrett's side, Ashlee Vanderbosch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Kyana Martinez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
