Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Cougars vs. Brodhead/Juda Cardinals

Clinton and Brodhead/Juda are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Cougars will welcome the Cardinals at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Friday, Clinton came up short against Monroe and fell 8-5. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Brodhead/Juda was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against Jefferson, falling 7-1. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Brodhead/Juda saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Bockhop, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Brodhead/Juda's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Clinton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Clinton skirted past Brodhead/Juda 6-4 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
