Basketball Recap: Oregon-Davis Comes Up Short

Oregon-Davis had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it four. They were dealt a 71-35 defeat at the hands of the Caston Comets. The Bobcats lost against the Comets in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 49-45 score last time.

As for Caston, they now have a winning record of 4-3. The game marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

Caston was led to victory by Madisyn Douglass and Grace Colvin. Douglass almost dropped a triple-double with 22 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists, while Colvin shot 56% from the field on her way to 23 points and five assists. With that strong performance, Douglass is now averaging an impressive 15.9 points per game. Adyson Steininger was another key player, putting up nine points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oregon-Davis will welcome Mishawaka Marian at 6:30 p.m. on December 3. As for Caston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewis Cass at 7:30 p.m. on December 3. The Comets' defense better be ready for this one: the Kings have averaged an impressive 50 points per game this season.
