A strong performance in the Utah Class 4A state playoffs has elevated Timpview (Provo) to the No. 2 spot in the MaxPreps Medium Schools National Football Rankings.

Timpview was 5-5 entering the postseason, including four forfeit losses, but it won four straight games in the postseason, including a 38-31 victory over Mountain Crest (Hyrum) in the final game and a 32-14 triumph over previously ranked East (Salt Lake City) in the semifinals.

Bellevue (Wash.) remains in the top spot with an unblemished record of 12-0. Bellevue meets Mount Si (Snoqualmie) in the Washington Class 3A state semifinals this week.

The Medium Schools National Football Rankings are based on the Freeman Computer Rankings. Medium schools are those schools found in state classifications with enrollments generally between 1,000 and 2,000 students.
