Volleyball Recap: Plymouth North Comes Up Short

Plymouth North was the 3-0 winner over Plymouth South when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 19-25, 25-15, 25-21.

Charlie Peters paced Plymouth North's offense, picking up 12 kills. Peters got some help from Kamilyh Kungu and her 23 assists. Madison Bumpus controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Plymouth North's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Plymouth South, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Plymouth North will square off against rival Whitman-Hanson Regional at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Plymouth South is set to take on their familiar foe Pembroke at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
