Baseball Game Preview: Hilton Head Island Seahawks vs. Eastchester Eagles

The Hilton Head Island Seahawks will face off against the Eastchester Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilton Head Island has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, Hilton Head Island came up short against John Paul II and fell 12-9. The Seahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hilton Head Island got a good showing from Tyler Young, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Young has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Slater Alsobrook made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Hilton Head Island: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least three RBI, but 5-11 otherwise. Kyle Larson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Eastchester got themselves on the board against Bluffton on Monday, but Bluffton never followed suit. They skirted past the Bobcats 1-0.

Hilton Head Island's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Eastchester, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
