Baseball Game Preview: Abbeville Wildcats vs. Kaplan Pirates

Abbeville is 1-9 against Kaplan since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Abbeville will look to defend their home field against Kaplan at 5:00 p.m. Abbeville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Abbeville's offense. They lost 10-0 to Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy on Tuesday. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Kaplan beat Loreauville 5-2 on Tuesday.

Kaplan's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Abbeville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Abbeville suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Kaplan when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Abbeville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
