Chestertown Christian Academy suffers fifth straight loss on the road

This season hasn't been kind to the Chestertown Christian Academy Patriots, who are still winless after their sixth game. Their tough 37-17 defeat to Fairwinds Christian on Monday might stick with them for a while. Chestertown Christian Academy has not had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Chestertown Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Megan Stoltzfus. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stoltzfus has scored all season.

Gabby Johnson had an outrageously good game for Fairwinds Christian as she scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. It was the first time this season that Johnson scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Gabbie Moore, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks.

Chestertown Christian Academy dropped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fairwinds Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Calvary Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Fairwinds Christian will host Calvary Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Chestertown Christian Academy will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
