Basketball Game Preview: BELIEVE Circle City Cyclones vs. Herron Achaeans

BELIEVE Circle City is 0-3 against Herron since December of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. Both will face off at 12:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Herron will be up against a hot BELIEVE Circle City squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. BELIEVE Circle City simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Purdue Broad Ripple 54-27. The Cyclones pushed the score to 51-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lynx cut but never quite recovered from.

BELIEVE Circle City's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Cordarionna Kirkwood, who posted 15 points and three steals, and Justyce Hunt, who had 14 points and three steals. Kirkwood is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bre'Asjah Wilson, who scored seven points.

Meanwhile, after only 19 points in their last match, Herron made sure to put some points up on the board against Victory College Prep on Friday. Herron blew past Victory College Prep, posting a 62-9 win. The contest marked the Achaeans' most dominant victory of the season.

BELIEVE Circle City's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.8 points per game. As for Herron, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

BELIEVE Circle City took a serious blow against Herron when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 65-22. Can BELIEVE Circle City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
