Basketball Recap: Jackson-Olin Takes a Loss

Jackson-Olin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Wenonah Dragons, falling 74-54. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 344th, while the Dragons are ranked 116th).

Jackson-Olin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Wenonah, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.

When Jackson-Olin and Wenonah next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Jackson-Olin will try to stop Carver Birmingham's five-game winning streak when the meet at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wenonah will take on KIPP Atlanta Collegiate and their three-game winning streak at 11:30 a.m. on December 27th.
