Football Recap: Saginaw Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Saginaw can now relate to. They took a blow against the Aledo Bearcats on Thursday, falling 80-12. The Rough Riders have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Saginaw lost, don't look at Kaiden Stewart. Despite the final result, he picked up 182 receiving yards and one touchdown. Stewart's longest reception was for an incredible 98 yards. Joshua Greek was another key player, having thrown for 259 yards and two touchdowns.

Aledo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Powell, who rushed for 98 yards and three scores on only six carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Powell a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaden Winkfield, who rushed for 93 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries.

Saginaw's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Aledo, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

As of now, neither Saginaw nor the Bearcats have any future games scheduled.
