Volleyball Recap: Summit Beats Franklin for Their Sixth Straight Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Summit had no problem doing just that on Sunday. They blew past the Franklin Admirals 3-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Spartans, who have now won six contests in a row.

Maggie Kalisz paced Summit's offense, picking up 16 kills. Kalisz got some help from Amanda Shanahan and her 34 assists. Shanahan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Despite the loss, Franklin still got an impressive performance from Maggie Myhr, who had 14 digs and eight assists. Myhr has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Summit's win bumped their record up to 23-7. As for Franklin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-10 record this season.

Summit wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Brentwood on the 6th. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
