Volleyball Recap: Cardinal Gibbons Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

Cardinal Gibbons's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Felton Grove Galaxy as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 9th.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cardinal Gibbons was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-14, 25-5.

Mary Grace Gonyeau paced Cardinal Gibbons' offense, picking up nine kills. Gonyeau got some help from Genevieve Harris and her 28 assists. Harris was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Cardinal Gibbons is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Felton Grove, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-13.
