Soccer Recap: Garner vs. Clayton
Garner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 6-2 to the Clayton Comets. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Comets are ranked 45th).

Adrian Montalvo scored both of Garner's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.
Garner's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Clayton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1-1.
Garner will head out on the road to challenge Fuquay - Varina at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clayton, they will challenge Southeast Raleigh at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
