Baseball Game Preview: Hialeah Gardens Gladiators vs. Coral Park Rams

The Hialeah Gardens Gladiators are taking a road trip to square off against the Coral Park Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Coral Park took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hialeah Gardens, who comes in off a win.

Hialeah Gardens took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against TERRA Environmental, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Hialeah Gardens' pitcher stepped up to hand TERRA Environmental a 2-0 shutout on Friday.

The result came thanks to Ryan Valdes's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Hialeah Gardens is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 2-8 otherwise.

At the plate, Hialeah Gardens saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Victorero, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Lucas Navarrete also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Coral Park's offense. They lost 11-0 to Doral Academy on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Coral Park's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Hialeah Gardens, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Hialeah Gardens came out on top in a nail-biter against Coral Park in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Does Hialeah Gardens have another victory up their sleeve, or will Coral Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
