Flag Football Game Preview: Telfair County Trojans vs. Hawkinsville Red Devils + Official Tickets

The Telfair County Trojans will challenge the Hawkinsville Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Telfair County is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Hawkinsville's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Telfair County hadn't allowed a single point the last three times they've hit the field. The Trojans strolled past Appling County with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 18-0.

Telfair County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Trynitee Newson led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. She is on a roll when it comes to interceptions, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Hawkinsville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took an 8-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dooly County on Tuesday.

Telfair County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Hawkinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Telfair County took their win against Hawkinsville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 30-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
