Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Pirates vs. Bethel Bees

Riverside hasn't had much luck against Bethel recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Pirates will be playing at home against the Bees at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverside is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Triad: they outscored them in every quarter. The Pirates came out on top against the Cardinals on Tuesday by a score of 58-32 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Bethel didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Troy Christian on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 44-39 win.

The victory got Riverside back to even at 1-1. As for Bethel, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Riverside came up short against Bethel in their previous matchup back in January, falling 36-29. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
