Volleyball Recap: Genoa Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Genoa Christian Academy lost against Delaware Christian back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Genoa Christian Academy came up short against Delaware Christian, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Genoa Christian Academy has suffered since October 12, 2024.

Genoa Christian Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21, 25-19.

Regan Shuck paced Genoa Christian Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Shuck got some help from Claire Mitchell and her 20 assists. Siena Swartz controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Genoa Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Delaware Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Looking ahead, Genoa Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Tree of Life Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Delaware Christian, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Shekinah Christian on the 30th.
