While Hoover's win against St. Paul's Episcopal wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Buccaneers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Saints 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Buccaneers as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Hoover who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 15-10.
