Baseball Recap: Cross Roads Takes a Loss

Cross Roads was the 6-3 winner over Cayuga when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Cross Roads came up short against Cayuga on Tuesday, falling 13-6.

Cross Roads saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruger Bane, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI. Riley Brown also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Cross Roads has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. Cayuga's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cross Roads will face off against rival Trinidad at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cayuga is set to challenge their familiar foe Frankston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Cayuga 2.9, Frankston 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
