Martin Castillo Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Odem's Martin Castillo, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Castillo rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (102). He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 59 yards.
Odem's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Castillo and Odem will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Banquete at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

Teagan Collins Turns in Season-Best Effort
George West was led to victory by Teagan Collins, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Collins threw for 215 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
The win was the fifth in a row for George West, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. Collins will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Santa Rosa on Friday.

Big Game from Hinojosa As Odem Won 61-7
Another Odem player making an appearance on this list is John Hinojosa. He rushed for 112 yards and four touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 104 rushing yards dating back to last season.
On the year, Hinojosa has run in 21 touchdowns while averaging 128.5 rushing yards per game.

Dylan Thomisee and Co. Win Fifth in a Row
Dylan Thomisee's big game helped extend George West's winning streak to five on Friday. Thomisee was unstoppable, forcing two fumbles and making 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Jj Anaya Makes Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Jj Anaya of Santa Rosa. Anaya rushed for 113 yards.
