Basketball Recap: Norfolk Christian Takes a Loss

Norfolk Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks 75-36. The contest marked the Ambassadors' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Several Ambassadors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathan Teti, who posted eight points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Holmes, who earned seven points and nine rebounds.

Norfolk Collegiate's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josh Mills led the charge by going 6 for 9 to rack up 17 points and five assists. What's more, Mills also posted a 67% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Justin Burrough was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Norfolk Christian now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Norfolk Collegiate, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Norfolk Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-33 loss against Catholic on the 4th. As for Norfolk Collegiate, they have also already played their next contest, a 66-62 defeat against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy on the 4th.
