Angleton comes up short despite Braydon Campbell's dominant performance

Recap: Angleton Wildcats vs. Alief Taylor Lions

On Wednesday, Angleton came up short against Alief Taylor and fell 60-50. Angleton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Angleton still got an impressive performance from Braydon Campbell, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. Campbell scored a full 40% of Angleton's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Rossow, who scored 11 points.

Alief Taylor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nathan Kongolo, who scored 21 points. The contest was Kongolo's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Tae Malik was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine rebounds.

Angleton's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Alief Taylor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Angleton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Foster at 6:00 p.m. on December 27, 2023. Alief Taylor and Nimitz will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Hopefully Nimitz focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
