Football Game Preview: Hazel Green Trojans vs. Fort Payne Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Hazel Green Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Fort Payne Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Hazel Green turned things around against Lee on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Generals 48-15. The Trojans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Fort Payne earned a 30-17 win over Gadsden City on Friday.

Fort Payne's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Hazel Green, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5.

Hazel Green was taken down by Fort Payne 56-29 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Trojans, Dax Varnadore (who threw for 353 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
