For the first time this season, Immanuel will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to take on the Washington Union Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Immanuel's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Washington Union's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Immanuel fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against McLane on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 4-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amanda Herrera spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Natalia Delgadillo was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Reagan Iriart also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Washington Union, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They walked away with a 13-9 win over Roosevelt on Friday. With that victory, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.
Washington Union also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Callie Flores gave up seven earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
At the plate, Washington Union got a big performance out of Ariana Garcia, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most runs Garcia has posted since back in March of 2024. Zoe Freitas was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.
Washington Union kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Immanuel's loss dropped their record down to 8-3-2. As for Washington Union, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.
Immanuel skirted past Washington Union 1-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will Immanuel repeat their success, or does Washington Union has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
