Volleyball Recap: Start Spartans vs. Western Reserve Roughriders
Start was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Western Reserve Roughriders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.
The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-4.
Start's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Western Reserve, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Start will challenge Maumee at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Maumee will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Start surely won't give up without a fight. As for Western Reserve, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Marion H at 11:00 a.m.
