Basketball Recap: Webster County Finds Playoff Glory Versus River View

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Webster County had no problem doing just that on Friday. They secured a 56-52 W over the River View Raiders. The Highlanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

The win was the fifth in a row for Webster County, bringing their record for this year to 10-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points over those games. As for River View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Looking ahead, Webster County will challenge Montcalm at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Montcalm knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Webster County likes a good challenge. River View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
