Point Pleasant Boro entered their tilt with Neptune on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 46-35 win over the Neptune Scarlet Fliers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Neptune had strong showings from Bre Evans, who posted 14 points and four steals, and Majiah Quarles, who put up ten points and three steals. That's the most steals Quarles has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Christa Ramos, who earned four points.

Point Pleasant Boro's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Neptune, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Point Pleasant Boro will head out to challenge Brick Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neptune has already played their next match (against Wall Township), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
