Softball Game Preview: Pershing County Mustangs vs. Silver Stage Nighthawks

For the second straight game, Pershing County will face off against Silver Stage. The Mustangs will head out to take on the Nighthawks at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pershing County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Pershing County turned things around against Silver Stage on Tuesday. They blew past the Nighthawks 16-1. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

For Silver Stage's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joselyn Fauyad, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Silver Stage dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Pershing County, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.
