Softball Recap: St. Brendan Wins Going Away Against TERRA Environmental

St. Brendan won the last time they faced TERRA Environmental and things went their way on Friday too. The Sabres put the hurt on TERRA Environmental with a sharp 16-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sabres.

Abigail Fernandez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Rachel Rodriguez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Madisyn Llerandi was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

St. Brendan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

St. Brendan's record now sits at 12-9. As for TERRA Environmental, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Coming up, St. Brendan will host Mater Lakes Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for TERRA Environmental, they will venture away from home to challenge Miami at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
