Softball Recap: Spencer Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Spencer can now relate to. They came up short against the Cadott Hornets on Thursday, falling 15-4. The Rockets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Hannah Schreiner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Ema Schultz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Cadott, with the victory, they broke their 12-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-13.

Spencer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cadott, they have already played their next game, a 12-0 defeat against Stratford on the 27th.
