Football Game Recap: Bishop McGuinness vs. Atkins

Bishop McGuinness took the matchup and then some with a 49-6 win on Wednesday over Atkins. That result was just more of the same for Bishop McGuinness, who also won the last time these teams played.

Bishop McGuinness got off to a slow start in their previous match, but they had no such trouble against Atkins and cruised to a 29-point first half. Atkins put up 6, so the score was 29-6 at the half. The Bishop McGuinness defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. The victory bumped their record up to 3-2. Atkins are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.

Next week Bishop McGuinness take on Christ the King at 7:30 PM. As for Atkins, they will face off against North Surry.
