Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln North Star vs. Lincoln Southeast

A classic North v. South matchup is on the schedule. The Lincoln North Star Navigators will host the Lincoln Southeast Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln North Star's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Lincoln North Star fell victim to Lincoln East and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Southeast faced Kearney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Knights fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 2-1. Lincoln Southeast haven't had much luck with Kearney recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Lincoln Southeast's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Lincoln North Star, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
