Baseball Recap: Point Arena Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fortuna, Point Arena was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Technology Titans a 30-0 shutout. Considering the Pirates' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The victory got Point Arena back to even at 2-2. As for Technology, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Point Arena didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against St. Bernard's on the 29th. As for Technology, they will take on Summerfield Waldorf at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summerfield Waldorf's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Technology's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
