Volleyball Game Preview: Cheyenne Wells Tigers vs. Hanover Hornets

The Cheyenne Wells Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Hanover Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Cheyenne Wells and 12 for Hanover.

On Thursday, Cheyenne Wells came up short against Springfield and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Hanover didn't have quite enough to beat Cripple Creek-Victor on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Hanover took Cripple Creek-Victor into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Hanover's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Cheyenne Wells, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Everything went Cheyenne Wells' way against Hanover when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Cheyenne Wells made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
